What is Alzheimer's disease? Alzheimer's Disease is a progressive, degenerative brain disorder. Several changes occur in the brain of the person living with this disease which causes certain functions or abilities to be lost. Once lost, these abilities can rarely be relearned. Alzheimer's Disease does not affect a person’s ability to acknowledge, respond to and experience feeling such as joyfulness, annoyance, fear, apprehension, love or sorrow.
